In 2012, artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen started the Little Sun project and since then, our global team has been working day by day, solar lamp by solar lamp, to bring the sustainable energy and the awesome power of the sun to everyone. Join our solar mission!
Little Sun light is bringing solar energy in more than 10 African countries, including Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Kenya, Senegal, and Ghana – with many more to come. So far (as of December 30 2017), we have distributed a total of 661,578 Little Suns worldwide. Of those, over 377,637 lamps went to areas without electricity. And that number is rapidly growing…
